Description:
Primroses will produce dazzling flowers each spring! Though they are perfectly hardy in the landscape, be sure to plant a few in combination containers and windowsill pots where you can view their gorgeous flowers up close. Plants will go dormant in hot, dry summer weather unless they are kept well-watered.

Botanical Name: Primula
Type: Perennial
Soil Preference: Prefers moist soil, perhaps near bodies of water where their shallow roots will not dry out.
Light Requirements: Partial Shade
Attributes: Bog plant, Border plant, Container plant, Cut flower or foliage
Pests: Nothing serious
Diseases: Nothing serious
Good Companion Plants: Early blooming bulbs
Care: Though they are fully hardy in, primroses need protective insulation such as snow cover in the late winter months so they are not lost to late hard freezes. Plants will go dormant in hot, dry summer weather unless they are kept well-watered.

Propagate by division in spring after bloom.

Description:  Refined beauties that completely embody the joy and hope that spring offers.  Their sizable double blossoms in a rainbow of colors bloom profusely throughout the spring season atop the compact, bright green foliage.  Sterile flowers result in plants that are particularly long blooming. Large, deep blue double blossoms.
